La Veta Brodie
MSAA 2005 Auxiliary Hall of Fame Inductee
The MSAA Auxiliary has been extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated member. Since 1957, La Veta has held every office more than once and the office of President more than twelve times. She has presented many programs and used her artistic talents to help plan and make the lovely centerpieces you enjoy each convention at the President’s Banquet.
Over the years, La Veta has attended many NAA and MDNA Conventions with her husband, Richard. She has been very supportive of Richard and son, Dan, in their new venture, Brodie Corporation.
Born in Harville, Missouri, La Veta arrived in Michigan in the 1940’s when her parents moved her with her four brothers and her sister. After high school, she studied modeling and fashion merchandising at Barbizon. She traveled to New York, France and Italy on separate occasions with Barbizon. She also has studied flower arranging at Schoolcraft College.
In March of 1956, Richard and La Veta were united in marriage. They are the parents of four children; Dan, Jane, Judy and Jim and Grandparents of fourteen grandchildren. Both of their sons are in the auction/appraisal industry.
Congratulations La Veta, on your
well deserved honor!
