William L. Sheridan,
CAI, AARE, was elected director of the
National Auctioneers Association at the 1999 50th Anniversary Convention in Grand Rapids,
Mich.
Sheridan is a licensed real estate broker with 24 years experience as
an active farm machinery, livestock auctioneer and appraiser. The owner and operator of
Owosso Livestock Sales Company, a regional livestock marketing company, Sheridan is also
the owner and founder of Sheridan Auction Services, Inc., a statewide auction company
primarily involved in marketing farm machinery, registered dairy and beef cattle.
In 1992, he was one of the founders of The Brokerage Land Company, a
statewide land marketing firm. He is president of the Livestock Marketing Association,
past president of the Michigan State Auctioneers Association and was recently appointed as
the chairman of the Michigan Beef Industry commission.
He is currently chairman of the Michigan Beef Expo, one of the largest
beef expos in the Midwest. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of Realtors,
the National Association of Realtors and the Michigan Cattlemans Association.
Sheridan served as the Michigan chairman for the 1999 International Auctioneer
Championship. Additionally, he has served on NAAs Long-Range Planning Committee and
he has been named to the 1999-2000 Public Relations Committee.
