Dorothy Albrecht
MSAA Auxiliary Director
Dorothy Albrecht grew up in New York State. She met her husband, Herb, in Virginia. Next to God, her first love is family. She loves to spend time entertaining and with her grandchildren. She is involved in her church and teaches Sunday school.
Dorothy works with Rotary Auctions and helps organize their pancake suppers. She received the Rotary’s highest honor, the Paul Harris Award for all of her work and volunteering. Dorothy is also very active with Cystic Fibrosis. She volunteers for their door to door campaign.
She enjoys working in their family auction business next to her husband, Herb, and son, David. She enjoys cashiering the most because she gets to work with their customers. When she clerks, she misses out on the interaction with the customers. Dorothy even likes to clean! Ironing, washing dishes, even cleaning up the houses they work at before the auction.
Dorothy has been a member of the MSAA Auxiliary since 1975. She served as 2nd Vice President for three terms, 1st Vice President for 9 terms, Secretary/Treasurer for 6 terms and President for 2 terms. She has been a member of NAA Auxiliary since 1975. In 1992, she was elected to 3 year term as NAA Auxiliary director. While director, she was appointed to set up a scholarship program for children and family members of auctioneers. In 2005, she was inducted into NAA Auxiliary Hall of Fame in Pittsburgh, Penn. And in 2006, Dorothy was Inducted into the MSAA Auxiliary Hall of Fame.
