Born and raised in Michigan, Ruthann Helmer and her husband Jerry (Life member of the MSAA and member of NAA and CAI) have three children. In 2005, as proud parents and grandparents, were blessed with two sets of twin grandchildren, doubling the count to eight grandchildren. In 1971 Ruthann assisted her husband and his partner in launching Braun & Helmer Auction Service. For 33 years Ruthann not only raised her family, but also assisted in all aspects of the family business. During those 33 years, Ruthann was involved in over 3000 auctions which included Real Estate, Antiques, Farm Equipment and many Charitable Benefits. As a former President of the MSAA Auxiliary and for many years a Director she is still waiting for retirement to kick in. In her spare time Ruthann enjoys her family, reading, traveling and being on the computer-especially shopping.
